Colo Bogs Wetland Complex
3 miles east of Colo, Iowa
The Colo Bogs Wetland Complex has grown to nearly 600 acres of restored wetlands through the USDA Wetland Reserve Program. Both publicly and privately owned properties are represented at these sites that are helping to improve water quality while providing important wildlife habitat.

The public and various agencies and organizations were present for the dedication of the Colo Bogs Wetland Complex on October 3, 2001.
Attendees listened to some short presentations.
A picnic lunch was provided by Pheasants Forever.
Lunch was eaten on hoods and trunks of vehicles.
